Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve

Gibraltar Point is a dynamic stretch of unspoilt coastline running southwards from the edge of Skegness to the mouth of the Wash. Known for its impressive views and sheer scale and diversity of wildlife, Gibraltar Point is worth visiting in different seasons to fully appreciate its landscape.

North Sea Observatory

This spectacular building opened 2018 and is open all year round. A purpose built and accessible marine observatory, it includes exhibitions on the local area, an art space, café, public toilets and car park. It sits on a slight promontory at Chapel Point near Chapel St Leonards.

Wolla Bank

Flooded clay pits with extensive beds of reed and sea club-rush, with great reedmace, fennel pondweed, wild celery, sea arrowgrass and water-crowfoot. There are also colonies of common spotted-orchid. Snipe are frequent visitors in winter, when bittern and bearded tit are occasional visitors. Many rare migrants have also been seen.

Moggs Eye

Moggs Eye, also known as Huttoft Beach is a quiet, rural beach backed by grassy sand dunes. The wide strip of golden sand which slopes gently into the sea is a great destination for beachgoers. As well as being plenty of room for beach games the beach is used by swimmers, surfers, sea anglers and bird watchers.

Horncastle Antiques Centre

The antique centre of Lincolnshire voted best antique town for several years and close proximity to Swindeby and Newark the biggest antique fair in Europe. The town offers by far the largest concentration fo antique shops and dealers in Lincolnshire. Go grab a bargain!

Donna Nook Beach

To see the seals (A must visit in the Autumn onwards). The total number of seals born here in 2009 was 1371, that should give you an idea of how big the thriving colony of grey seals is! The seals here are very very close to the shore line- and so are extremely easy to photograph with and ordinary camera. The seals attract over 40,000 visitors from October to December every year.

Louth

A lovely little town holdings market days on Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays. There are lots of little unusual shops and some nice places to eat. Including the tapas bar and the Grey house puplic house. Hubbards hills is beautiful with a stream running through the park. A lovely place to take children as they can go paddling and take fishing nets. The dogs love it here too, as there are plenty of lovely walks.

The Pinewoods

Situated in the heart of the charming and historic village of Woodhall Spa, The Pinewoods is a hidden gem.

The 7.6-hectare wood, which is made up of beautiful broadleaf woodland, is brimming with wildlife and is probably the only wood in the country where you can enjoy a retro movie experience at the unique on-site historic cinema.

The wood has no boundary fence and there is a well-used path network which is generally dry underfoot, except in winter or after prolonged rain. The central path running north to south between Coronation Walk and Coronation Road is suitable for wheelchairs and has seating. Other paths are flat and may be passable by wheelchair or mobility vehicle in dry conditions

Lincoln

Visit Lincoln, home to the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral, castle remains, ancient walls, and medieval architecture. Wander along the picturesque cobbled streets and take in the spectacular sights of Lincoln’s magnificent historic architecture. The city is full of fun attractions and activities for the whole family to enjoy plus lots of delicious places to eat and drink.
